At Flying Fox Bikes, we compete against other retailers by endeavouring to offer a greater customer service experience. When you buy a bike from us, we invariably help you out as a minimum with a helmet, we give you free services and we ensure that even if you bought the bike from us online, we have built it, checked it and are happy with it. In addition, we give you free skills sessions and/or trail guiding and try to convince you to come riding with us, either mountain biking or road cycling.  Therefore the social experience, constant maintenance can give you so much more than a few pounds off a bike or a better rear mech!

We have a fantastic range of demo bikes which you can hire for £40 per day. Not only that, if you purchase any bike from us, you'll get the £40 back... so keep the hire receipt folks! Try our Pivot Mach 5.7, Pronghorn 100mm race bike, Pivot Mach 4, Whyte 19 Steel, Argon 18 E-80 TT bike, Forme Thorpe Comp 1.0, Moda Nocturne and soon we will have a Moda Finale 2013 and Forme Axe Edge Sport.  We can also get hold of other demo bikes but please let us know in advance!

Summer Clothing Clearance

We did have summer by the way but the amount of summer clothing does not reflect this at all!  All of it is for sale for as little as half price. Unfortunately we have not spent the two days necessary to get it on our website so if you need anything, please pop in or contact us.

2013 Bikes are arriving slowly but surely

However, it's difficult to know what everyone wants. So while we know what is awesome (road bikes, I would argue with anyone who didn't like the new Moda 2013 range. Formes are now getting great reviews, Whytes are even better value for money than before but pushing the design boundaries and Pivots are truly amazing), we would like to know what you want. Which is why you get 10% back in goods if you pre-order a 2013 bike from us - loads available but particularly 2013 bikes from Moda, Forme, Pivot, Whyte, Lapierre, Transition and so on.

Bike Rides

We generally go mountain biking from the shop at 1800 on Tuesdays. We then meet up with other folk in Menstrie at 1840 for a local bike ride. Meet us at Logie Kirk most Tuesdays as we normally go in that direction (but you might want to check with us first!).  We have demo lights from Lezyne, Hope and Exposure and various demo bikes so there's no excuse!  We also have bike rides at the weekend, usually Sunday because the shop is open on a Saturday, so get in touch with us about those. Become our Facebook buddy so you can see our updates.  We will update Facebook if a ride suddenly becomes a road ride because of the conditions.  If you fancy a ride out at a certain time, then give us a shout and we will see if we can accommodate you.
