Flying Fox Bikes are proud to be a partner in the government’s cycle to work scheme. Continuing our high level of customer service and satisfaction we have just taken delivery of our 2011 stock brought in specifically to cater for those commuters in Scotland purchasing their bikes through the government’s cycle to work scheme.
The Whyte 805 is the perfect bike to introduce you to the Whyte Brand. The 805 is their entry level hardtail and it offers similar geometry and UK-specific design features and flair as their award winning Whyte 19 series. If your commute to and from work involves some off-road riding or if you are looking to use your bike out on the trails in addition to your commute, the Whyte 805 can do it all – designed and built for those fantastic UK conditions!
New for this season is the Whyte Stirling -part of Whyte’s Fast Urban range, which takes their high performance mountain bike geometry and applies it to an urban/ commuter bike; giving you stability at high speeds and excellent maneuverability at slow speeds.
For Cyclescheme customers looking for the ideal winter-proof commuter bike for use in those wonderful winters here in Scotland, the Mondraker Borne 1, part of Mondraker’s new Urban range. The Borne 1 is designed specifically for those who are looking to use their bike as a means of transportation; it comes complete with a Shimano Alfine 8 speed, removing the rear derailleur and protecting your gears from the harsh elements. It is also available to simply ride out of the shop with mudguards already included.
For those commuters who are riding to work off road, but are in a bit more of a hurry we have a range of Cyclocross bikes available, including the Kinesis Crosslight, which will let you enjoy the off road trails, but gives riders more speed when compared with a mountain bike because of the more aerodynamic position and larger 700C wheels.
For those Cycle to work customers who only commute by road – the Felt F95 will be with us very shortly! Complete with a 6061 alloy frame, Carbon Fork, compact gears, a mixture of Shimano Sora and Tiagra components and FSA chainset. At £675 the Felt F95 is a fantastically versatile bike and for commuters it’s the perfect entry level road bike, without the usual terrible frame and components normally available at this level.
In addition to our great range of bikes under the £999, we have all the clothing, waterproofs and accessories you will ever need to get out of your car and onto your bike while continuing to travel in comfort.
