We are currently running mountain bike experience days from our base in the Ochils, Central Scotland. These are currently based around beginners - primarily to show people how great our sport is.

Flying Fox Bikes began after one of the current workers experienced a wee health problem.  This turned out to be a very positive experience as it reminded him that not everyone is so lucky and with a healthier lifestyle more people can avoid these "scares".

Mountain biking (or indeed road cycling, cyclocross, downhilling, commuting or simply riding to the shops twice a week) has fantastic health benefits and aids sleep, combats stress, makes you fit (arguably in a better way than in the gym) and creates endorphins (and adrenaline!) to alleviate mood.

We can tailor the experience around you (and your friends if in a group) to ensure that we only push you enough for you to progress and to enjoy the experience (and therefore come back!).  We are lucky enough to have wide-ranging trails from flat gravel paths and asphalt around lochs, land rover tracks up into the hills to singletrack descents with drop-offs and many other obstacles.

Our current fleet of bikes should accommodate most people's requirements but please contact us beforehand to ensure we have what you require in stock or have time to make the necessary adjustments.  We have full suspension bikes, hardtails, BMXs, Road Bikes with many more being added all the time.

Here are some of our Demo bikes for hire...

Just to make things more interesting, we have some lights (Hope Vision 2 , Hope Vision 4 and Hope R4) available for hire and for guided night rides. There are many experienced mountain bikers out there who do not cycle at night in the winter months but it adds another dimension to your riding and is phenomenal fun! Our aim is to take out beginners to show them the joys but experienced mountain bikers are welcome on our experience evenings.

The picture below is from one of our guided rides.  The girl pictured (a total beginner) managed to jump off rocks, which we just roll and learned a lot on her first ride. Unfortunately she also put us to shame in some ways so we are secretly hoping that there aren't too many amazing beginners like Fiona out there!  Whatever your level, we will have some great riding for you on the doorstep (Ochils and around Stirling area) or further afield (trail centres such as Glentress, Kirroughtree and Laggan) and more natural riding around the Menteith hills, Aberfoyle, Callendar, Aviemore and Dunkeld.
