After seeing and riding Pronghorn Racing mountain bikes at Eurobike 2010, Flying Fox Bikes has invested a great deal into the brand.
It now has several demo bikes such as the Pronghorn PR-6 XC Race with lovely Magura Menja 2010 suspension forks and a full Shimano SLX groupset and the Pronghorn PR-6 LT Trail with 150mm of travel, DT Swiss Enduro 150 fork and custom tuned Fox RP2 shock.
Other future possibilities are Alloy/Carbon and Carbon frames within the demo stock.
Pronghorn's designers and engineers came up with a new top mounted suspension system, which maximises leverage and eliminates pedal bobbing. This is known as A.P.L.S. Anti-Power Loss System.
Like all good designs, this is simple but highly effective - the back of the bike will actively take out the bumps on the uphill sections, while remaining truly efficient.
Combined with the general lightweight, this means that the Pronghorn bikes are amazing fast and agile uphill with minimum fuss: there is one switch for the whole bike (shock platform or Fox ProPedal), to turn it from a climbing machine to a downhill monster. In addition, if you forget to use it, the suspension design is so sorted that you may not even notice the difference.
Take a test ride today at Flying Fox Bikes in many locations in Scotland: Stirling, Alloa, Falkirk, Peebles (Glentress), Laggan, Carron Valley, Edinburgh and Glasgow. We can come to you with our van and demo bikes. You can also compare our Pronghorns to our other full suspension bikes such as the Cube Stereo, Cube Fritzz, Cube AMS Pro & Comp, Lapierre Zesty, Lapierre Spicy and Tomac Snyper 140. We usually have all these demo bikes in stock.
Pronghorn Bikes have had great reviews from BikeMagic (Editor's Choice), Mountain Bike Action, Singletrack, Bike Magazin, to name but a few.
Flying Fox Bikes in Alva, serving Central Scotland, can also supply many accessories, such as Pronghorn Racing XC-Ray MTB 1490 Wheels. Lighter than Shimano XTR Wheels and with bladed spokes, they build into a very strong XC wheelset.
